Therapy for Teens and Young Adults Facing Anxiety and Depression
Welcome to CalmSpace Counseling!
You might have landed here because your teen is doesn't seem like their usual self anymore.
Maybe they’re overwhelmed by school, constantly anxious or irritable, spending more time alone, or struggling with sadness they can't quite put into words. You may be wondering whether anxiety or depression is part of what’s going on.
Or maybe you're a young adult who feels overwhelmed and wonders,
"Is this what being an adult is supposed to be like?"
No matter how hard you work—professionally or personally—you feel like you're falling behind.
You tell yourself to try harder... and you do.
Yet somehow, it still doesn't feel like enough.
Deep down, you wonder if you are enough.
Based in Houston, Texas, CalmSpace Counseling is a counseling practice dedicated to helping teens and young adults find relief from anxiety, depression, and the pressures of everyday life.
Therapy can help you quiet that inner critic, understand what's keeping you stuck, and begin building a life that feels more grounded and fulfilling—not one driven by constant pressure to do more or be more.
I bring years of clinical training, evidence-based strategies, and thoughtful curiosity to every therapy session. But beyond that, I'm also a parent and former educator.
I understand how overwhelming life can feel, whether you're watching your teen struggle or carrying the weight of your own anxiety and self-doubt.
I've created a space that's warm, collaborative, and grounded in real life. Whether anxiety has left you constantly overwhelmed, depression has made it difficult to enjoy life, or you've simply grown tired of carrying everything on your own, I'll meet you where you are. My goal is to help you find clarity, develop practical tools, and feel less alone in what you're carrying.
Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel calmer, more confident, and more connected to yourself.

At CalmSpace Counseling, therapy for teens incorporates creative expression as well as traditional talk therapy, depending on the needs of the client. I strive to have a variety of materials for teens to use so that they can express thoughts and feelings in many different ways. And I have regular sessions with parents so that they can learn about ways to improve communication and support their child.
Teen sessions at CalmSpace Counseling are in-person only.
Counseling services may be beneficial for teens who:
feel anxious, sad, or are under a lot of stress
feel that they must be perfect and/or do everything perfectly
have experienced a major life event
argue with or feel misunderstood by parents
-
CalmSpace Counseling offers individual sessions for adults either in person or online. Sometimes, as adults, we feel pressure to have all the answers or believe we should have already moved past painful experiences from the past. But old wounds can continue to shape how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and to others.
Counseling services may be beneficial for adults who:
feel anxious or depressed
experience perfectionism or a sense of not being “good enough”
are experiencing grief or loss
want to process childhood stress

Being a parent is a full-time job that most of us step into with little or no training. And those feelings from our own childhood that we thought were gone can resurface as we care for our own kids. I work with parents so that they feel more equipped to handle the pressure of parenting.
Some parents meet with me only in parent consultations for a teen client.
Other parents choose to be the sole client which allows for more frequent sessions in which we will work on parenting issues and explore the source of the parenting stress more deeply.
Either way, I strive to give parents tools that help them feel more equipped to face the challenges that come with the role of parent.
