Consumer Information (Required by Texas Law)

As required by House Bill 4224 (effective September 1, 2025), all clients have the right to:

1. Request Your Health Care Records. To request a copy of your health records or to learn how we handle record requests, please contact me directly at ellen@calmspacecounselingtx.com during, before or after session if you are a current client.

2. Contact the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. For questions, concerns, or to contact the licensing authority that oversees my professional license, visit the Texas BHEC Contact Us page: https://bhec.texas.gov/contact-us/

3. File a Consumer Complaint with the Texas Attorney General. If you wish to file a consumer complaint regarding mental health services, you may do so through the Texas Attorney General’s Consumer Protection (including the online complaint portal): https://consumerprotection.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumercomplaintportal/s/
